Make the most of your bag
Start simple, then follow your taste.
Your best first cup is rarely about doing everything perfectly. If you have a grinder, start with whole bean and grind close to brewing. If a pre-ground option makes your daily routine more likely to happen, that is a good choice too. Use clean water, give yourself a few minutes, and adjust one thing at a time if you want a different result.
For an easy morning cup, a blend and your usual brewer are enough. For a slower weekend ritual, try a single origin and notice what changes as the coffee cools. For warm afternoons, turn to cold brew and give the coffee time to do its thing.
If a cup tastes stronger or lighter than you expected, change only one part of the routine next time. A smaller or larger dose, a finer or coarser grind, or a little more or less water can make the next brew feel closer to your preference. Let your own taste be the useful guide.
